Our Curriculum

Our Class Structure

Our Class Structure

The Islamic Studies curriculum at Northern Muslim School has been thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive and balanced education, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications. Our curriculum aims to instill a strong Islamic identity in students while equipping them with the tools to navigate contemporary challenges with faith and integrity.

Our Class Structure

To ensure an effective learning experience, we have split classes for senior grades, particularly for oral subjects. This approach allows for smaller group settings, enabling personalized attention and a more interactive learning environment.

Our teaching methods incorporate both traditional and modern pedagogical approaches, ensuring that each student’s unique learning style is catered to. Practical lessons are integrated into the curriculum to ensure that students not only learn Islamic teachings but also live by them.

Our Vision

Our Vision

The Islamic Studies Department envisions shaping students into well-rounded individuals who are guided by Islamic principles in every aspect of life. We aim to cultivate a generation that is spiritually enriched, morally upright, and academically accomplished.

Full time Hifdh Programme

At Northern Muslim School, we take immense pride in offering a dedicated Full-Time Hifdh Programme designed to nurture and support learners on their journey of memorizing the Qur'an. This unique programme is structured to provide students with the opportunity to balance their academic education, Islamic studies, and Hifdh memorization—all within a single, well-rounded school day.

Programme Overview

The Full-Time Hifdh Programme is tailored to meet the needs of learners who are committed to memorizing the Qur'an while continuing their formal education. The day begins early, at 5:45 AM, and concludes at 4:15 PM, ensuring ample time for focused Hifz sessions, academic subjects, and Islamic studies. This comprehensive approach allows our students to excel both spiritually and academically without compromising on either aspect.

Unique Features of the Programme

Integrated Learning

The programme seamlessly integrates Hifdh, Islamic studies, and school academics, enabling learners to progress holistically in all areas during their time at school.

Flexible Hifdh Support

Enrolled Hifdh learners are given additional time during the school day to focus on their memorization. They are excused from Qur'an recitation classes and regular Hifdh periods with their peers, as they are typically more advanced. This personalized approach ensures that students can progress at their own pace with the necessary guidance and support

High Focus on Tajweed

A strong emphasis is placed on Tajweed (correct pronunciation and recitation), ensuring that students memorize the Qur'an with precision and beauty. This focus helps learners develop a strong foundation in their Qur'anic recitation.

Dedicated and Qualified Teachers

The programme is staffed by a team of highly skilled and dedicated teachers, including both male and female instructors. These educators are committed to providing a supportive and inspiring environment for students as they embark on their Hifdh journey.

Inclusive Environment

The Hifdh programme is open to both boys and girls, offering equal opportunities for all learners to achieve their Qur'anic memorization goals.

Our Vision for the Hifdh Programme

At Northern Muslim School, we aim to produce Huffaz who are not only proficient in memorizing the Qur'an but also embody its teachings in their daily lives. Through this programme, we strive to instil in our learners a deep connection to the Qur'an, a love for its recitation, and the ability to uphold its values as a guiding light for their future.

Enrichment Beyond Memorization

The Full-Time Hifdh Programme goes beyond memorization by fostering discipline, time management, and a commitment to excellence in all areas of life.
